Fissure sealants in Peterborough
Fissure sealants are a great way of helping to protect your children's vulnerable back teeth from decay. The sealant is a clear plastic fluid that is painted onto the biting services of your child's permanent back teeth (molars and pre-molars). It dries as seconds, and then acts as a barrier between the enamel on these teeth and bacteria.
The procedure is usually carried out as soon as your child’s permanent teeth appear. The sealant can last for many years, but it is still vital for your child to visit us regularly as we will still need to keep a close eye on the development and health of all your child's teeth.
