Over the years, teeth can become stained by smoking or by drinking tea, coffee or red wine. Teeth also become naturally darker over the years.
Our in-practice and at-home professional tooth whitening system lightens teeth and helps to remove stains, giving you a brighter, lighter smile and often taking years off your appearance!
The in-practice whitening system is designed to give great results (usually an improvement of up to 8 shades) in just one visit. The tooth whitening procedure is very simple - we protect your gums and lips, and paint on the special tooth whitening gel. This is activated with a special light. Once the tooth whitening is complete (usually about 45 minutes), we remove the whitening gel and the gum and lip protection, and you are able to go and show off your sparkling new smile immediately!
Our home tooth whitening system can be used as a top-up for the in-practice system, or by patients who prefer a more gradual change, with the ability to stop when they are happy with the shade of their teeth. For this, we provide custom-made tooth whitening trays, a little like thin mouthguards. We will show you how much whitening gel to put into these trays, and how to place them over your teeth. Usually our patients find that they are happy with the results after about two weeks of using the trays.
