Dentistry Awards finalist

The Bushfield Ortongate Dental Practice, situated in the Ortongate, Peterborough, has been short-listed for the Best Practice in the National Dentistry Awards 2008.

This is the second time the practice has been short listed; the last time was in 2006 when it was placed in the top three out of the whole of the East of England.

Practice Manager, Natasha Saterlay: “We are delighted to have received this National recognition for our dental practice. We have a dedicated team here at Bushfield, who work hard to make visits to the dentist a positive experience. The practice has also been assessed and modified by a Feng Shui consultant to make subtle improvements and changes to the overall environment.”

The Dentistry Awards is now in its third successful year. The regional awards launched by the Dentistry magazine have been created to recognise outstanding individuals, teams and practices that have an active interest in continuing professional development and of staying at the top of the dental profession.

The country has been divided into 9 regions for the awards. Once the winners for each region have been decided, they then have a chance at being named overall UK Best Dental Practice. Competing against other practices within the region ensures that the entries are of an exceptionally high standard.

The judging panel consists of top members of the profession, including dentists, hygienists and practice managers. The judging categories are: Best Practice, Best Team and Best Young Dentist throughout the whole of the UK.

Dentistry Awards Panellists: “We have been delighted with the standard of entries, which have been of a particularly high standard, and to be short listed is an outstanding achievement in itself. You and your team should be extremely proud of this accomplishment.”

The winners will be announced at the Dentistry Awards Ceremony on Friday December 12th at the Athena Art-Deco cinema in Leicester. The evening is a black tie event and will be hosted by Olympic gold-medallist Kriss Akabussi. Last year over 650 people attended making this the largest annual dentistry event ever in the UK and the event looks to break records again this year.
